The Coeur d'Alene Chapter was chartered in March 1969 as part of the Washington-Alaska division. The officers of the Chapter constitute the Board of Directors. Committees offer the opportunity for members to actively participate in areas that suit their special interests.

The Chapter sponsors the Bosses' Day Breakfast and honors the Boss of the Year (October). A seminar is presented during Administrative Professionals Week for everyone in the community, and one college and one High School scholarship is awarded per year (April) to a deserving student whose chosen area of study is in the administrative professional field.
